Hazel Stearman was a lifelong resident of the Seattle area, and called Burien home from birth to death. She went to work at Burien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in 1978, and remained there as the Medical Records Director for 35 years, until her recent passing. Hazel gave new definition to the term “Workaholic”, and was known to work months on end without a single day off. She loved her work, and the residents and staff of the facility she worked in for so many years. She spent her time giving to others, and that was a hallmark of her life.
