Victor LaBouve’

Resident Care Manager

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. My Mom and Aunties still live there so I visit often!

I was a medic in the Army from 1980 to 1989. I received an Army Commendation Medal for saving a soldier during a training exercise. It was second nature to me…such an honor though!

As a nurse since 1986, I have worked in many skilled nursing facilities as a licensed nurse on the floor for several years and became a Resident Care Manager in 1998 at this very facility. Working in this setting, caring for this population of people who know so much is my passion.

I’ve been back at Burien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after working for another company for 17 years. What amazes me daily is we are given the resources to do our jobs well. With all the cuts going on out there, I am grateful to have what I need for my patients. I love the people here, the continuity of care. We truly have the best team I’ve ever worked with here…and I’ve been around awhile!

I’m married and have a beautiful daughter who is 16 years old, God help me!

I enjoy hiking, biking, martial arts, bonzi gardening, and working on sport’s cars.

I just love it here. We have great surveys because of the coordination of care and the resources to do a good job. It was a difficult decision to leave a company after 17 years of dedication ( employee of the year for over 200 nursing facilities – administrator added this ). I saw something special here!
